Discipline: show jumping (up to 160cm on the course, single jumps up to 190cm)

Story: Bought from a transport to a slaughter house at the age of six, Horizontal expresses his fear of people by biting and kicking anybody, who comes too close to him, except his owner. Nikodem's childhood was as difficult as Hori's, that's why they understand each other so well. The gelding was a birthday present for a 19-year-old Niko, whose previous elderly horse passed away, and at the beginning they weren't friendly towards each other. Only after many nights spent in the horse's box the boy realized, that this animal will be his best, most trusted, friend, he just has to strike the right chord.
The chord happened to be professional sport, as after some rides their trainer realized that Horizontal had a big heart and unlimited ethusiasm for show jumping. To connect to the horse, Nikodem started taking part in competition of higher and higher class, which led the pair to 160cms on the course and 190cms as a single triplebarre at home.
Despite being a little too big for the horse (Nikodem's height is 192cm), he's not disturbing Horizontal from jumping. Well, not any more, as at the beginning they had some.. let's say, fabolous crashes. They didn't discourage the boy from training and he spent whole six months bareback and without the bridle, riding almost every day, to feel the horse's movements and get better.
Now Horizontal is a reliable horse for his rider. He demands clear, firm signals and correctly leaded, he will jump anything that stands on his way. Or, at least, try to jump it.
